UGA Biopharma is a private Contract Research Organization based in Hennigsdorf, Germany.
As part of our expansion, we are looking for a Business Development & Marketing Manager who can drive sales growth, strategic partnerships, and brand visibility for our services in the biopharma sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales
Strategic Growth & Markt Expansion
- Develop and execute a commercial strategy to position UGA Biopharma as a preferred partner for CHO-based cell line development and bioprocessing services
- Conduct market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and industry research to refine sales approaches
- Represent UGA at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build visibility and generate new business
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Identify and engage in biotech, biopharma, and CDMO clients to expand UGA’s market presence
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, R&D teams, and procurement managers
- Lead the sales cycle, from lead generation and proposal development to contract negotiation and closing deals
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell UGA’s services (e.g., process development, analytical services)
Marketing & Brand Development
Marketing Strategy & Content Development
- Design and implement a marketing strategy to enhance UGA’s global presence in the biopharma sector
- Develop enganging content for digital marketing, including website updates, LinkedIn posts, white papers, and newsletters
- Work with internal teams to create scientific marketing materials, including case studies, webinars, and technical brochures
Digital- and Event-Marketing
- Manage UGA’s website and digital advertising to drive lead generation
- Plan and execute email marketing campaigns, webinars, and virtual events
- Coordinate UGA’s presence and global biotech and CDMO conferences, ensuring impactful branding and networking
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Background
- Bachlor’s Master’s, or Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Science, or related field
- Additional qualifications in Marketing, Business Administration, or Digital Marketing are a plus
Work Experience
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within biopharma, CDMO, or biotech industries
- Strong understanding of cell line development, upstream processing, and biologics manufacturing
- Experience in B2B marketing, digital lead generation, and event planning
Skills & Attributes
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work across technical (scientific) and commercial (business) teams
- Entrepreneurial mindset with data-driven and results-oriented approach
- Proficiency in CRM tools, marketing automation platforms, and LinkedIn marketing
- Willingness to travel
- Knowledge in cell line development, bioprocess development, downstream development and protein analysis
- Understanding the concept of protein expression with mammalian cell lines and analytical charcterization of proteins
- Excellent communication, presentation and organizsation skills in English (written and spoken) and German
- Ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment
